CBus Trifecta
Two more of our favorite Columbus bands have generously agreed to let us use clips of their music in upcoming episodes of CNC. How cool is that?

You can check out sibling duo Jesse & Casey Cooper, aka The Receiver, at their myspace page and keep up with them on blogspot.
Their music is often compared to Radiohead and is a little hard to describe--studied and earnest at the same time, anthemic and intimate, indie rock and electronic.
But I think Casey offered the best description in an interview for (614) Magazine: it's "music . . . that takes you somewhere else."
Their 2009 release, Length of Arms (available from iTunes, emusic, and other online vendors) was praised by Paste Magazine, Stereo Subversion, and Amplifier Magazine.
The Lindsay's live shows don't just raise the roof, they burn the paint off the walls. They're blistering, bacchanalian rockers who've never been afraid of a little feedback--think Sonic Youth with a swagger.
Their first album, Dragged Out, was reviewed in Stylus magazine, featured as Treble Magazine's album of the week, and is one of my favorite records. You can download their latest EP, Syrup Bag, for free from their website.
Thanks again to The Lindsay, The Receivers, and Rosehips for being champs and helping us out. If you guys ever want to play a show in Boston . . .
