Tom Dodson
Tom coordinates the activities of Harvard University's Office for Scholarly Communications (OSC) and works as a reference librarian at the Tisch Library at Tufts University.
He holds a degree in library science from Kent State University and an M.A. in Comparative Studies from The Ohio State University. His academic work was concerned with the fields of critical social theory, cultural studies, and American studies. For two years, he served as an instructor for cultural studies and composition at OSU and misses teaching something terrible.
His current projects include: writing fiction, organizing an open writers' workshop, studying Western philosophy, audio engineering (beginner), web and drupal development, and whatever night classes Harvard is offering this term.

Alana Kumbier
Alana is a research and instruction librarian at Wellesley College. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies from The Ohio State University, and a M.L.I.S. from the School of Library and Information Science at Kent State.
Alana has published widely in the alternative press and online; her work has appeared in Punk Planet, Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture, BUST magazine, and PopPolitics.com. She is also the co-editor, with Emily Drabinski and Maria Accardi, of Critical Library Instruction: Theories and Methods, recently published by Library Juice Press.
Among her many interests are: radical librarianship, letterpress printing and book arts, burlesque and queer cabaret performance, dancing, reading graphic novels and young adult lit, porch-sitting, and cooking meals with friends.
